Head Above Water (album) - Avril Lavigne

Mis favoritas: Birdie, I fell in love with the devil, Tell me it's over, dumb blonde, It was in me.

  1. Head Above Water: is it because of the cover?

I started with 'Birdie', cause it was claimed to be one of AT favourites. Lavigne is not something I usually listen, to be honest I have lost her track on the past 12 years or more. If I compared the past Avril with this new one I might say: I can't sense the difference. It is still quite poppy, maybe because in my head when I classify something as punk or pop-rock, she was never complete part of that, not only for her style and voice, but also the rhythm and lyrics in my head are always gonna be pure pop. Well, she is been clasiffy as pop-punk but even she denied to do that kind of music It is obvius you can sense the influence of pop-punk, teeen-pop and rock but her songss arequite out of those for me, pop pop pop plop?

I didn't dislike the song, cause in one way I feel comfortable with her voice, and the lyrics are interesting, but it is still not something I will put on my library. On the other hand, '
I Fell In Love With The Devil' .... really? is this a new emo Lavigne? Didn't like the video and the song at all!! I didn't have the time to listen the rest of the songs from the album cause my youtube decided to go for Lavigne old songs, and I went back to my life in high school listening 'I am with you' and now is in my head again!! What have you done to me!!!...

    Anyway I will say

    6/10
